Join us on March 16th for St. Alban's Mindfulness Day!
Join us as we provide an open and peaceful atmosphere with various workshops, such as Mindfulness classes, meditation, art and yoga. This event will also include mindfulness related workshops designed for children that will run parallel to most of the adult activities.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS:
Centering Prayer, Buff Barnes
Spiritual Director at St. David's Church, Wayne Pa
Buff has been offering group and individual spiritual direction since 2006. She received spiritual direction training from Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development and from Chestnut Hill College.
Mindfulness Workshops, Marc Balcer
Marc Balcer brings a passion for self-discovery within group settings to his work as a practitioner and teacher of mindfulness and insight meditation. Marc integrates his formal training with experience as an investor, educator and entrepreneur to support personal development and transformation. Marc has completed a practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Management at The Penn Program for Mindfulness. Marc is the co-founder of Center for Self-Care (C4SC) which is dedicated to building communities through mindful exploration and connection. C4SC offers workshops, retreats and consultations with a special focus on men, middle age and the workplace. Marc enjoyed a fifteen year career as an investor and entrepreneur before transitioning to coaching and teaching mindfulness and social emotional learning, most recently at Woodlynde School and The Shipley School.

Mindfulness for Kids, Dr. Susan Howard
Susan Howard, Ph.D. PA Licensed and Certified School Psychologist
Dr. Howard has been working with children and adolescents in the public and private schools of Delaware County for over 20 years. She uses Mindfulness approaches in her group and individual work with students. Recently, she has received a grant from CCRES to create a calm down corner to help students to develop their self-regulation skills.

Mindfulness Art Making for Kids, Christie O' Brien
Christie teaches Early Childhood Art at the Brooklyn Sandbox Early Learning Center during the school year and Woodworking at Brooklyn Friends School to elementary and middle school campers in the summer. Prior to Brooklyn Sandbox, Christie taught art for many years at the Trevor Day School in Manhattan. She has also worked for several NYC non-profits including the Children’s Museum of the Arts, Free Arts NYC, the Children's Museum of Manhattan, Harlem Children's Zone, and Publicolor. Prior to her career in education, she spent three years designing for the Manhattan Children's Theatre and has designed, propped, painted and built many shows in NYC. She has a Master's Degree in Art Education from Columbia University Teachers College and a Bachelor's in Theater and Dance from Trinity College. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two children.
Yoga for All Ages, Janet Muti
Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist, Yoga Tutor & Kids Yoga Specialist
Janet's yoga life began in 1973 in Germantown with the center that became the Kripalu Yoga Fellowship. She developed a strong connection to the Kripalu community, and she completed her 200-hour certification in 1976, under the mentoring of Yogi Amrit Desai. She joined the YogaLife family in 2010 as a teacher and a student, completing advanced certifications in Yoga & Yoga Therapy, Janet is a retired schoolteacher who worked in the local area for more than 20 years.
